Test
Cement or cementitious material was to be unloaded from 10,000 tonne bulk carriers via a mechanical ship unloader and conveyed by a pneumatic conveying system into land-based silo facilities.

Challenge
A DN 500 conveyor line along the pier with a total of 6 docking stations is approached by the ship unloader and has to be connected to the ship unloader without losing much time. Furthermore, this connection had to withstand a conveying pressure of 4 bar.
03.
Solution
Delivery of a hydraulically operated docking station. This was installed at the end of a 5 m long conveying hose. The conveying hose with docking station can be adjusted in height via a winch and connected to the conveying pipeline via 3 clamps. A seal in the area of the outlet cone of the docking station prevents any possible conveying air/material leakage.
